The Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) announces the availability of a
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Project Development and Transportation Planning Services.
CCMPO seeks to select up to four consultants or consultant teams to provide transportation project
development and transportation planning services on an on-call basis for a three-year period.
CCMPO’s anticipated annual budget for transportation planning services is approximately $300,000.
The consultants or consultant teams must provide expertise in, but not limited to, the following
disciplines: traffic engineering, highway and structural engineering, bicycle and pedestrian planning,
survey, historic preservation, landscape architecture, archaeology, wetlands biology, wildlife habitat,
NEPA compliance, hazardous waste identification, corridor and circulation studies, and public involvement.
At least one of the firms selected will have expertise in the following areas: bicycle and pedestrian
feasibility studies; scoping studies for bridge rehabilitation or replacement; and in planning studies
with rail elements. The successful teams must be familiar with state and federal environmental laws and
regulations, and must possess a demonstrated ability to conduct effective public meetings, hearings and public outreach.
