Serving about 145,000 people, the CCMPO is Vermont's only MPO.

Prior to joining Stone Environmental, Inc., Mr. Johnstone was Secretary and Deputy Secretary for the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources from 1998 into 2003. Mr. Johnstone was also the Director of the City of Burlington Department of Public Works and has served as the City's CCMPO Board Member.

Scott will direct our regional, transportation planning efforts with strong leadership, cultivated professional relationships and proven local, State and Federal experience with, and an understanding of the importance of the critical linkages between the environment, economic development, land use and transportation. We are grateful to have been able to have Bill's experience and leadership over the past few years and appreciate his willingness to help us transition to new leadership," said Penniman.
