Public Hearing on Expansion of Vermont Truck Network in Grand Isle, South Hero and Colchester

South Hero, VT- In response to a request from the South Hero Selectboard for the state to designate a portion of VT 314 in Grand Isle and South Hero and US 2 from South Hero to I-89 Exit 17 in Colchester as part of the Vermont Truck Network, the VT Agency of Transportation (VTrans) will be hosting a public hearing on the subject on Thursday December 2. The hearing will be held at the Folsom Elementary school on South St. in South Hero and will begin at 7pm.

The proposal would allow vehicles up to 72' in total length to operate on these roads. This public hearing will provide citizens the opportunity to provide questions, concerns and comments to VTrans officials for their consideration in whether to grant the request.
