Description:
The Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (CCMPO)
Transportation Action Grant (TAG) program is designed to encourage innovative, actionoriented
transportation planning initiatives in Chittenden County. This initiative is intended to be
a one to two-year program to allow Chittenden County communities and organizations to
leverage available transportation planning dollars in ways that will advance programs and/or
initiatives that will explore new types of transportation solutions and new types of transportation
capacity in our region. This program provides the opportunity to develop ideas that may not fit
our traditional Scoping, Technical Assistance, or Transportation for Livable Communities
programs, or it may be used to potentially supplement projects in those programs.
Program Goals:
- Develop innovative community-based projects that could potentially be implemented in a one to two-year timeframe.
- Forge unique partnerships between local jurisdictions, community organizations, transportation service providers, and the development community.
- Enable communities to explore and develop creative transportation planning solutions.
- Provide "success stories" to encourage integration of transportation and land use throughout the region.
Due Date:
Proposals are due by 5:00 PM, Friday, April 24, 2009. For the complete proposal & requirements, please download the full application document linked here. You may also download the
